Thick Toenails

 Are you embarrassed of your thick toenails?

As the weather improves, and we start approaching the sandal season, we get more people booking in for treatment for thickened nails.

Most of the time they are not troublesome, but they can be embarrassing.  

The cause of the thickness can be due to a high impact trauma, continuous trauma, fungal infection or an underlying health condition.

If the nail is allowed to continue growing, pressure from footwear or even the bed sheets slight touch can be uncomfortable or painful.

At your appointment we will cut the nail back and reduce the thickness using an electric drill.

If there are any visible signs of a fungal infection we will advise you on the steps to take to clear the infection.

If you are embarrassed of your nail we can reconstruct it too, which can last up to 6 weeks.
